Halloween B/C Grade Sprint Meet

Meet Rules & Information
| 1 | The promoter for this event is Mr Simon Latham. |
| 2 | The Competition will be held under ASA Law & technical rules. |
| 3 | The one start rule will apply. |
| 4 | Over the top starts may be used at the promoters discretion. |
| 5 | Swimmers are requested to remain in the water
until asked to leave the pool. |
| 6 | All individual events will be heat declared winners. Team Cannon events may have both heats and a final, depending on the number of teams entered and at the promoters discretion. Heats may be spread throughout the session. |
| 7 | The pool is 25m long, 8 lanes with anti wave lane ropes and electronic timing. |
| 8 | No outdoors shoes to be worn on the poolside. Footwear must be worn outside the pool area. |
| 9 | Age Groups are 9 yrs, 10yrs, 11/12yrs, 13/14 yrs, and 15yrs & OVER. |
| 10 | Ages are as at 26th October 2008. |
| 11 | All entries must show the full date of birth, age and ASA Registration Number of each swimmer. |
| 12 | Entry rimes are to be based on 25m pool times or converted 50m pool times by use of the ASA Conversion Tables. |
| 13 | Swimmers may enter in B grade for some events and C grade for others. The individual Medley events are ungraded. |
| 14 | Swimmers may enter the Individual Medley event only if they have entered at least one other individual event. |
| 15 | Swimmers entered into the team Cannon events must have entered at least one other event. |
| 16 | Clubs may enter any number of Cannon Teams but individual swimmers may only swim in one team. |
| 17 | Cannon teams in each session must comprise the following: |
| 18 | The closing date for entries is 26th September 2007 and refers the the final date on which entries must be received by the meet secretary. |
| 19 | Entries are accepted on the 'first come, first served basis' only.
Please note: This event has proved very popular. It is highly likely that entries will close early. Do not delay your entry. |
| 20 | Poolside entries will not be
accepted. |
| 21 | Should entries be over-subscribed, the promoter reserves the right to limit entries by rejection of the last entries to be recieved. |
| 22 | This meet will operate as a CARDLESS meet. All entry withdrawals must be presented in the recorders office no later
than 10 minutes before the commencement of each session warm-up. Check-in lisys will be provided for each club which must be completed and handed to the techincal team by the deadline. |
| 23 | The fees for this event are £3.75 for each individual entry. Entries to the Team Cannon event will be free. |
| 24 | Coaches MUST wear passes provided at all times whilst on poolside. Only swimmers with accepted entries and Coaches/Team Managers with a valid Coaches pass will be allowed on Poolside. |
| 25 | Coach passes are priced at £12.00 each and include programme, start lists and a full access to results through our website which will be published on the day of the meet. |
| 26 | Coaches and Team Managers are requested to ensure their swimmers respect the officials and are silent at the start of each heat. |
| 27 | Results sheets will be on sale for spectators and swimmers priced at 20p per event. |
| 28 | The Referees decision is final. |
| 29 | Trophies/medals/awards will be made for each event to the first six in each gender, age group and grade. |
| 30 | Presentations will only be made for the top boy/girls, top club and team cannon trophies. All other awards should be collected from the awards table during the meet. |
| 31 | In each event and grade, points will be awarded (6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1) to the first six in each age group and grade.
These points will be totaled to decide Top Boy & Top Girl for each of the age groups and the top club overall. In the event of a tie on points the award will be given to the swimmer/club with the most 1st places. No points will be awarded in the Team Cannon event. |
| 32 | Any swimmer swimming faster than the cut-off time for their entered grade will receive a Speeding Ticket. Speeding tickets have no points value for top Boy/Girl or top club trophies. |
| 33 | Admission for spectators will be £5.00 per session, £8.00 for a full day, to include a programme. Children, accompanied by
adults, will be admitted free. The spectators area will be cleared between sessions. |
| 35 | Refreshments may be obtained in the cafeteria but may not be taken on to the
poolside. |
| 36 | A swim shop will be in operation throughout the gala. |
| 37 | Any point not covered by these rules will be at the discretion of the organisers and the promoter. |
